Care instructions: This crib mattress is designed to be cleaned with a damp sponge and warm water. Use a mild liquid soap if necessary. Do not use any harsh cleaners, antibacterial or diaper wipes, as these contain additives that may eventually break down the surface of your mattress.

Add an additional mattress pad cover in cotton or mesh to add airflow to the sleep surface of your mattress. A mattress needs to be able to be cleaned it does NOT need to breathe all the way through -it needs breathability at the sleep surface.
